Rabbi Eric Morgenstern
Rabbi Eric Morgenstern
 is a Jewish Universalist rabbi.  He is the founder and Rabbi of Kehillah Chen v’Chesed, a Jewish Universalist Synagogue that offers Enrichment Programs, Pastoral Care, Life Cycle Services, Shabbat and Festival services to a community of unaffiliated families.

Rabbi Morgenstern has been a Jewish Educator for 25 years specializing in both the Conservative and Reform platforms.  He has focused on experiential Judaism in such areas as Social Action, Family and Community Education.  Rabbi Morgenstern is a leader who emphasizes the importance of people and maintains the view that the central task of a Rabbi is to develop a good fit between the congregation and the synagogue.  He is a member of the International Federation of Rabbis.

Rabbi Morgenstern is committed to empowering others and relies on personal charisma to get people excited and committed to the mission of the synagogue.  I look forward to personally meeting each of you!


Cantor Kenny Ellis
was born and raised in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and also holds a certificate of Hebrew Education from Gratz College. He has been a cantor for over 25 years, having served at Valley Outreach Synagogue (VOS), Temple Beth Haverim in Agoura Hills and Temple Beth Ami in Santa Clarita. Cantor Kenny has broken new ground in Jewish music with the first-ever big band Hanukkah album, “Hanukkah Swings!” which has been number one at Amazon and plays annually on SiriusXM’s “Radio Hanukkah” and at Disneyland’s “Festival of Holidays”. He was invited to perform it at West Point and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. On television, he’s recently has been seen playing a rabbi on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and NBC’s Law and Order. Cantor Kenny is married to Laura, a classical flutist and catering manager at the Four Seasons Hotel and they are proud parents of their sons, Adam and Aaron.

Eileen Weiser
Eileen Weiser
is a professional singer/pianist who has been performing since the
age of twelve. A graduate of UCLA. she has sung backup on numerous albums, movies, and TV shows, and has worked with The Ray Coniff singers, the “other” Ray Charles singers, Henry Mancini, Andy Williams, Tony Bennett, Bob Hope, and many others. Eileen has also performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Academy Award Shows, the Ace awards, the People’s Choice awards, and several other award shows and specials. Eileen has been a choral conductor and arranger in the Conejo valley for over 25 years, as well as a solo artist, both vocally and on the piano. She has been the accompanist for Agoura high school for the past fifteen years, as well as an assistant director, and has also conducted and played for various churches and temples in the area. She has been the accompanist and arranger for Cantor Kenny Ellis for the last 25 years.

B’nai Mitzvah / Hebrew Tutor

Michal Erez
During the last 20 years Michal Erez has tutored for Bar and Bat Mitzvah. Michal also has years of  experience teaching Hebrew and Jewish studies at different temples in Los Angeles. Michal has also tutored privately many children, preparing them for their Bar and Bat Mitzvah. She is very passionate about  teaching them, making it meaningful for them, and being a part of there Bar/Bat-mitzvah special time! Michal was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. She lives in Sherman oaks with her husband and two sons.


Sue Roth
Sue Roth is the administrator and accountant for KCVC. She is responsible for assisting Rabbi Eric with the day to day operations as well as the financial aspects of the synagogue. Having worked as a bookkeeper, business manager, and accountant for the last 32 years, Sue brings a wealth of knowledge to KCVC. Sue began her education at UCLA, and after moving to the east coast, her degree in accounting was completed at Strayer University. Currently, Sue owns and operates Sue Roth & Associates, a business management firm in Woodland Hills, CA. Sue is the proud mom of Lindsay and enjoys her volunteer work at Lindsay’s school and extracurricular activities.
