A Letter from the KCVC Board

July 31, 2020

Dear Kehillah Chen v’Chesed Family,

The Jewish New Year 5781 will begin soon and Temple KCVC will continue to be here for you and your family to support your religious and spiritual needs.  While the pandemic may have temporarily separated us physically,  it certainly did not dampen our determination to keep our Jewish community together.

Some of you may be thinking about whether or not to take a “year off” from our synagogue,  but please know that if enough people withdraw their support, our incredible KCVC community may not be able to exist next year.  Without your financial backing, KCVC may not have a foundation after the pandemic to provide the comfort, solace, celebration, companionship and connection that will be needed by our community.  KCVC is able to provide opportunities at a reduced rate because we operate on an extremely lean budget.  Please stand with your KCVC family this year!

We are asking all of our congregants to make a commitment to our synagogue for the Jewish New Year by making a Pledge of Support and by completing their family Enrollment Form by August 15th.

We currently offer bi-monthly virtual Shabbat services in the comfort of your home with guaranteed front row seats! In the coming months, we will continue to share prayers and rituals, hear beautiful music from Cantor Kenny and listen to thoughtful discussions and sermons led by Rabbi Eric to include High Holy Days services and Jewish celebrations throughout the year. Luckily for us, the joys of the Jewish holidays never cease!

For those of you with children, our Hebrew Enrichment and B’nai Mitzvah preparation with Rabbi Eric will continue via Zoom at a very reasonable fee not found elsewhere. Plus all the required enrollment forms and credit card multi-payment options are completely online as well.

All that is needed to be a part of 5781 at KCVC is an Enrollment Form and hopefully your Pledge of Support which are now easy to complete on our website.

Additionally, if you enjoy what we are doing for our community please make sure to “like us” on Yelp and tell everyone about our amazing  synagogue!

The Board of Trustees of KCVC looks forward to your continued participation along with our wonderful Rabbi Eric, Cantor Kenny and our Music Director Eileen.

May this New Year be a good year filled with blessings and joy…

Shalom!
