A Message from Rabbi Eric / 2020-2021 Calendar

Dear friends of KCVC:

I am extremely grateful for everyone who is part of the KCVC family. The love and support you have shared with me and our community has been immeasurable.

While nothing can replace the feeling of being together, the trustees and I have decided that a virtual Synagogue experience this year would ensure that the ties that bind us to one another remain as strong as ever. Therefore, the Cantor and I will continue to serve families and the community in new, creative, and different ways through this unique moment in time. Therefore all High Holy Day Services, Shabbat Services, Enrichment Programs, Bar/Bat Mitzvah Training and Community Events will all be held Virtually until such time that we are permitted to safely return to the Synagogue.

Our little community has been a beacon of love, justice and mercy throughout its existence. It has been our message to Embrace, Engage and Educate the promises of our future – our children!

Your support and participation is essential. Through your support, we can continue to engage the world with a message of grace and kindness as we walk wherever the Spirit of God leads.  Remember… we ARE open.

we are open in the midst of uncertainty,

we are open in the midst of anxiety,
we are open in the midst of stress,
we are open in the midst of fear,
we are open in the midst of bewilderment,
we are open in the midst of confusion,
we are open in the midst of pandemic,
whatever you are in the midst of, KCVC is here for you!!

I believe that KCVC extends beyond physical locations and buildings; it dwells in our hearts and friendships, our values and souls. Together we will face this most significant challenge and come together again as a family to sing, “Hinei mah tov umah na-im shevet achim gam yachad”  – how good it is for us to be together, and how thankful we will be when we can be together again. Until then, let us each find strength and move forward together towards hope, joy, and better days ahead.

May the grace and peace of God be with each of you and if you need anything, please call me or send an email.

Stay safe, stay in, and stay well.
Rabbi Eric
