Our Synagogue President Colleen Schwab graduated from UCLA with her degree in Political Science. She obtained her California Teaching Credentials in Social Studies, Spanish and English. Colleen taught for over 35 years with the Los Angeles Unified School District. Now semi retired, Colleen loves to travel with her husband Rick and their two boys and daughter in laws, Joseph, Vara, Gregory and Inbal. On February 21, 2023 Joseph and Vara blessed the family with a beautiful baby boy!
Ron Alexenburg, Vice President / Treasurer

Ron spent 60 years in the music business and has received numerous awards thoughout his career. He additionally brings a wealth of knowledge about synagogue life to KCVC due to his lifelong commitment to Judaism. Ron had his Bar Mitzvah in Chicago, later married the love of his life Rochelle, and has 4 grandchildren. Ron and Rochelle have been married for 57 years and continue to focus on their family and synagogue.
Lauren Weiss, Secretary

Lauren Weiss has served as Secretary of KCVC for three years. She is an educator in the San Fernando Valley and a lifelong supporter of synagogues and the Jewish community.
Carrie Adelman, Past President

Carrie is a native Angelino and her family currently lives in Encino and are founding members of KCVC. She served as the first President of the congregation for five years and currently sits on the Board of Directors as the President Emeritus. When her family was looking for an inclusive, affordable temple, they, along with a handful of other families, decided to create their own congregation with Rabbi Morgenstern at the helm. Her two sons attended KCVC religious school and had their Bar Mitzvah’s with the temple. By trade, Carrie has been a commercial real estate manager for 30 years, but alongside her professional career, she has served in numerous volunteer positions including President of Taft High School PTO, Board Member of Lanai Road Elementary and Board Member of the Small Wonders Foundation.
